Brethren Care Village Foundation is a faith-based, nonprofit community dedicated to fulfilling our "Life-Care Promise": providing our residents with quality, compassionate care, even if their resources run out. Because of the support of our generous donors, we are able to provide our seniors with expert services, enriching activities, and quality relationships for the duration of their time at Brethren Care Village.

If you would like to support our vision to provide seniors with the medical care, dignity, and loving community they deserve, please explore the different ways of giving. You can make a difference in the life of seniors and their families!

Giving to Brethren Care Village Foundation

Your donations toward items on our Wish List create a better life for our residents at Brethren Care Village. You can choose to specify the project, building, department, or item your gift should benefit, or give toward the general fund through the Caring Club, Brethren Care Village’s annual fundraising drive.

How to Give

If you’re ready to contribute to Brethren Care Village, you can choose to give online or by making a check payable to Brethren Care Village Foundation, 2140 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.

The Brethren Care Inc. Foundation accepts donations to several endowments.

The Benevolence Endowment assists residents who cannot pay the full amount for their care and assist them financially in allowing them to remain on campus.

The Renovation Endowment is used to pay for replacement of several capital items needed in the future and assist in providing funds for future remodeling/renovation projects.

The Education Endowment is used to support the training and education of staff, and the Chaplaincy Endowment is used to support Brethren Care Village’s chaplain. Please be sure to contact us for more information on donations and endowments.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a creative way of supporting non-profits and charitable organizations that enable philanthropic donors to make larger gifts than they could make from their annual disposable income. By planning your donations, you can make a lasting impact on our residents and their families.

Types of Planned Gifts

There are three types of planned gifts: appreciated assets, like stocks and real estate; gifts that provide a lifelong income to the donor in exchange for making the gift; and gifts payable upon the donor’s death using estate and tax planning techniques.
