Founded in 1972 specifically in response to a critical local need for a senior care living facility, Brethren Care Village has since expanded into a full campus, allowing our residents to age in place as their needs change. That growth involved the creation of independent living at Bloomfield Cottages and Bay Laurel, assisted living in Belmont Tower and Brookwood Place, memory care at Bradford Houses, and short-term rehab at the Wasen Rehabilitation Center along with the long-term nursing care offered within the Health Care Center. In 2018, Brethren Care built the Wellness and Community Center for Lifelong Learning, which features a central courtyard with seating, a central courtyard with seating and a gas fireplace, fitness center, therapy pool, community room for lifelong learning, as well as The Greens Bistro and Pub, which offers the wider community beyond campus a healthy, delicious menu and beautiful spaces to eat and gather.
