A Fateful Homecoming

Elizabeth’s journey at BCV began as she moved back to Ashland while attending nursing school. Inspired by her sister, who was already a valued member of our team, she decided to apply and join the BCV family. It was a fateful decision that would shape her future in ways she could have never imagined.

Discovering Her Calling

As Elizabeth began her career, she considered various paths within the nursing field, including short-term care and hospitals. However, it was her interactions with the residents at BCV that reaffirmed her decision to stay in long-term care. Witnessing how much recurring staff members meant to our residents and the profound impact it had on their quality of life, Elizabeth realized she had found her calling.

A Supportive Environment for Growth

At BCV, we believe in nurturing the growth of our team members, especially during challenging times. When the COVID pandemic disrupted Elizabeth’s nursing school clinical hours, she reached out to our Director of Nursing, who was also her supervisor. In a testament to our supportive community, Elizabeth was able to set up a schedule to shadow nurses, ensuring she could continue her education and growth even in uncertain times.
